Gavalas Winery, located in Megalochori, Santorini, is one of the island’s oldest wineries. It specializes in limited-production wines crafted from native grape varieties such as Assyrtiko, Aidani, Mandilaria, and Mavrotragano. Visitors can enjoy guided tours and tastings that showcase the essence of Santorini’s rich winemaking heritage.
Founded in 1952, it’s deeply tied to Santorini’s volcanic vineyards and traditions. Today, it’s the island’s third-largest winery, with award-winning wines.
This east-side winery, set on a beach between Kamari and Monolithos, occupies a former 1900s tomato factory. Now a modern facility, it blends tradition with cutting-edge winemaking.
Established in 1903, the Argyros family has a legacy in winemaking spanning decades. As Santorini’s largest private vineyard owner, they now hold over 120 hectares.
This wine estate was founded in 1997 and today still cultivates 10 hectares of vineyards, most of which are organic.
Located by the sea near the Kolumbo volcano in Oia, OENO P, established in 2017, crafts high-quality wines from Santorini’s volcanic terroir. It is a must-visit for wine lovers because it uses local grapes like Assyrtiko, Athiri, and Aidani. It has been praised worldwide for its great wines and beautiful location.
Anhydrous, meaning ‘without water’ in Greek, produces wines shaped by volcanic soil, sea breeze, and earth, blending smoky minerals with vibrant acidity.
The Koutsogiannopoulos Wine Museum has everything visitors would want to know about winemaking in one of the most unique places on earth.
Domaine Sigalas is one of the most prominent exporters of Greek wines worldwide, and the winery’s renowned, award-winning labels are also available across Greece.
The winery is very close to the port, overlooking the magnificent caldera of Santorini. The Venetsanos family built it in 1947, making it the first industrial winery on the island.
